JOB SUMMARY

Tory Burch is seeking a Sr. Director of Sustainability to help lead and execute on the company's strategic objectives related to social and environmental opportunities across the value chain - from farms and factories to stores/e-commerce and garment end-of-life. The role requires a deep understanding of current sustainability challenges in the retail/ consumer goods industry, as well as a keen ability to work in a global corporate environment with multiple cross-functional stakeholders. The candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop a global program to achieve sustainability goals. Reporting to our Chief Supply Chain Officer, this leader will have a highly visible role working closely with leaders of key functional areas - Design, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Creative, Marketing, Legal - as well as with our business unit presidents.

The candidate must have great business acumen, exceptionally strong problem solving and negotiating skills, a passion for leading transformative changes in the ways of working and an ability to work cross-functionally in driving solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Partner with Corporate Responsibility Committee to define and articulate overall strategy for sustainability at Tory Burch
•Lead a small team or "Project Management Office" in executing sustainability program initiatives, working closely with legal and compliance teams based out of Hong Kong to ensure alignment
•Develop and present program budgets, creating sound business cases for any investments, and doing diligence on requirements for any implementation where necessary
•Manage overall program execution, in partnership with established task forces, and cross-functional leads from Design, Production, Merchandising, and Creative/ Marketing
•Measure and report on goals and metrics, revising targets and objectives where necessary and monitoring progress
•Manage sustainability corporate responsibility communications
•Partner and engage with third party associations and/or multi-stakeholder initiatives
•Present critical industry research to internal teams, helping to conduct any primary research required, and ongoing competitive benchmarking to better understand the landscape
•Develop and mentor teams by setting clear objectives, measuring KPIs, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching
•Understand the broader industry landscape to identify critical competitive needs and actively contribute to shaping the supply chain strategy

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
•4 year Bachelor Degree
•MBA, MSc or relevant advanced degree highly desired
•A minimum of 10 years of corporate or business experience; experience in manufacturing preferred
