Y/Project is looking for a commercial and business development director.
The Candidate's key missions will include:
- Strengthening our relationships with our major existing clients, which are among the most exclusive specialty boutiques, department stores and E-commerce platforms, globally
- Initially, manage the wholesale to North America and the UK markets, in house
- Imagine and develop new opportunities (collaborations, special collections, distribution partnership) working hand in hand with the brand CEO and the Creative Director
- Spearhead our DTC strategy, primarily through our recently launched online store, and then through pop-ups, corners and other sales branding opportunities
- Work with the Creative team on each collection from a merchandising perspective to ensure that it includes the right products to reach sales targets and global clients expectations
- Manage the communication actions, under the creative guidance of Y/Project Creative Director, including shows, campaigns, installations, Instagram, with an attention on both creative and working within the prescribed budget
- Manage a commercial, customer service and communication team
Key expected skills of the Candidate
- A keen interest and thorough understanding of the creative luxury fashion industry and business
- A high understanding of the Y/Project brand identity
- Experience in handling high-level meetings with major wholesale accounts, with, ideally, a strong network with our existing and target clients
- Present creative ideas on potential collaborations internally and to the potential partners
- Team management skills to motivate, develop team skills, manage commercial and communication planning and make sure that everyday tasks are performed
- Ideally a minimum of five years experience in a concurrent appointment within the industry
- Fluency in English and secondary languages are an asset to the role
