The Pricing Commercial Development Team is part of Pricing Strategy & Operations, a cross-functional unit that focuses on defining and implementing data-driven pricing strategies across the Supply and Demand business organization. As part of Pricing Commercial Development you will shape the Fashion Store long term pricing strategy by driving key strategic initiatives within Pricing. You will drive the team's strategic direction within planning, creating a stronger link between the planning objectives and Zalando's strategy. Lastly, you will guide the weekly trading by proactively identifying future risk and opportunities in light of the latest commercial developments.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to proactively identify future risk and opportunities in light of the latest performance developments and the company strategy.
  • Monitor the commercial performance in order to facilitate learnings and make recommendations to the local teams, aiming at improving top and bottom line of the business.
  • Lead pricing business planning across Supply and Demand, enabling the local teams to define their discount rate strategies tailored to the needs of each market or budget category.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the Supply and Demand business organization. You will support our stakeholders in understanding and capturing the impact of latest pricing developments on their planning strategies.
  • Drive key cross-functional strategic projects and team initiatives.
  • Change the game, identify improvement opportunities and redefine the ways of working across the different areas of Pricing Strategy & Operations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • MBA or Master in economics, finance, management, math, physics or comparable qualification.
  • You have. 3+ years of work experience in commercial planning, business analyst, consulting or other highly analytical role where you leveraged your strong business understanding to create lasting business results.
  • You have excellent commercial thinking and deep analytic skills, including advanced technical skills in Excel and SQL.
  • You are able to translate customer needs and business opportunities into a sound commercial plan that yields results on both short-term and mid-term.
  • You have in-depth understanding of E-commerce or online business models.
  • You are self-driven, results-oriented personality and enjoy working independently as well as in a team
