Working as part of the Buying and Merchandising team, this role is instrumental in driving the flow of stock through the business; from Purchase Order management, through to timely deliveries and co-ordination of key launches across Store and E-Shop. The right candidate will be exceptionally organised and capable of managing communication with the many varied suppliers of Dover Street Market International.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proactive upload and management of Purchase Orders – from JOOR through to DSM Retail System (RetailPro)
- Reviewing deliveries weekly ensuring all stock arrives within set timelines and within DSM compliancy guidelines
- Liaising closely with Warehouse to ensure stock is processed quickly and any discrepancies are addressed without delay
- Supporting Stock Control team in the processing and checking of stock
- Attend and contribute in weekly meetings – communicating feedback from reports, key deliveries / launches and brand initiatives
- Deputising for Merchandisers in absence – including presenting information in meetings
- Support Buying Team throughout market
- Managing Sage invoice workflow ensuring all are checked thoroughly and any discrepancies addressed
- First point of contact for warehouse and store queries
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Good commercial knowledge and extremely product focussed
- Experience of JOOR and FarFetch STORM platform is helpful
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional team
- Previous experience gained within a luxury fashion business is highly desirable but not essential
- Has proven ability to interpret and react accordingly to sales reports
- Must be able to use Excel to a good standard (eg. Pivots, formulas, formatting)
- Numerical – comfortable with simple calculations (eg. Margin, variances, percentages etc)
- Confident with delivering information effectively to large groups
