The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our world-class team. This person will be responsible for the planning, developing, implementing and reporting of key product marketing efforts. 

This is a very cross-functional role in the organisation as it requires partnering closely with Product, Engineering, CX, Insights, Marketing, etc.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will develop a deep understanding of our community, leverage relevant market insights to influence the best product experience, and set the go-to-market strategy and execute cross-functional efforts for new product launches.

Responsibilities  

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (CX, Insights, User Research) to really understand our audience (buyers and sellers). 
  • Partner with Product teams to influence our product strategy, especially around the who and the what, whilst ensuring it remains aligned to our business strategy. This includes developing clear positioning and messaging that resonates with our audience to communicate our value proposition.
  • Drive go-to-market strategy and execution for new product launches. We are a peer-to-peer marketplace so this could be on either side of the marketplace (buyers or sellers) or a proposition that covers both (buyers and sellers).
  • For each product launch, determine when and how new features and/or products are introduced to the depop community. Work with the Insights and Product team on a target for adoption and measurement of success.
  • For each product launch, define a plan for distribution through owned and paid channels, and coordinate with the responsible teams for execution and measurement.

Requirements

  • Significant product marketing experience, ideally in global Tech and/or App first businesses
  • Obsessed about improving the experience of our community of buyers and sellers
  • Loves data and understands how both quantitative and qualitative data need to be present to really understand our community and launch the best products in the market
  • Results and outcomes driven with a proven track record in the space
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally
  • Strong project management skills - you are ultimately responsible for the delivery of the plan and need to be able to manage all aspects of it
  • Able to work in a highly independent environment where pace of change can be high

Preferences

  • Previous experience in fashion and marketplaces is a strong plus
  • Insight into Millennial and Gen Z behaviors and attitudes is a plus
