Job Details

Reporting to the E-business Director, and with a dotted line into the Head of China and SEA, this will be a pivotal role for the successful development of our online business in China.

Strathberry is seeking an experienced digital expert to drive brand preference, product desire and business growth by fully leveraging the China digital ecosystem and digital media landscape. This role is expected to develop integrated digital marketing & sales strategy and work with external partners and internal stakeholders to deliver the aligned results.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Social Media Management

  • Develop annual digital marketing strategy for the China region covering all digital aspects, including, but not limited to: web, social, search, online advertising and e-commerce.
  • Lead execution of digital marketing campaigns with support of agencies and internal partners, from campaign mechanism planning, assets production and media planning, to content development, page design, technical testing, KPI set-up and result evaluation.
  • Manage and optimise brand digital marketing platforms, including official website, SEM/SEO, WeChat/Weibo account front & back end, and Redbook.
  • Work closely with agency in China to run Baidu campaigns (in the future).
  • Co-manage all affiliates for China and the Asian Market.

Visual Merchandising & Site Management

  • Work closely with the E-commerce Team members to optimise and update content on the .cn
  • Responsible for the visual merchandising strategy of strathberry.cn
  • Optimise on-site search and the cross-/up-sell of products on the site.
  • Take charge of daily operation of WeChat boutique, with support of the internal China Team.
  • Proofread all product descriptions and site copy in Mandarin, as provided by the China Team.

Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years’ proven experience in digital marketing or social media management for China/Asia Pacific.
  • Good knowledge of the WeChat, Weibo and Redbook ecosystems.
  • Shopify knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Package.
  • Experience in a luxury and prestige industry-related brand is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, both written and oral.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Creative with entrepreneurial spirit, able to work independently.
  • Must be a good team player, with experience working as part of a cross-functional, high impact team.
  • Open-minded with positive thinking, strong problem-solving and strong communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented, able to think from other perspectives.
