Jing Group is hiring a brilliant team of publishing thinkers and technologists to help achieve a bountiful two year company roadmap that expands Jing’s reach, influence, and capabilities significantly. We are launching our own publishing platform, various digital subscription products across our current and upcoming brands.

Your chief directive will be to take ownership of Jing Group’s UX and UI thesis, build out, and KPI iterations. Your domain will consist of designing the publishing and homepage tools, high conversion newsletters and funnels, and visual identity and experience of our various brands. An atomic modular design framework will be key in creating a foundational platform that serves a wide range of editorial voice, audience, and value propositions.

You will work with cross functional leadership to understand their needs, values and goals, and will translate that into a robust publishing platform with sharp design. The role would start as a contract role with the sincere intention of employing full time with valuable incentives if the right fit is found. Ideally, this candidate can bring in years of learning, best practices, and wisdom from prior work with a blue chip digital publisher.

Required knowledge and qualifications: 

  • A product designer at an established publishing company
  • A link to your online portfolio in your resume. Your application will not be considered without a portfolio
  • Minimum 4-6 years experience in web and mobile design
  • Expertise in preparing spec files in Figma or Zeplin
  • Strong understanding of design frameworks, responsive design, and designing to browser and mobile constraints
  • Proven success in developing, testing, and deploying multiple websites with the ability to execute quick iterations to test theories and designs, using experience, analytics and data for decision making.
