Technical Designer RTW

Axel Arigato is offering a full-time position for an RTW Technical Designer at the office in Gothenburg.

We are out to create beautiful statement pieces for men and women that are on-trend yet still made with the highest quality materials and comfort.

The candidate should have a unique perspective and an overall aesthetic that can balance between cool, luxurious and approachable, and should have great technical knowledge of product design.

The primary function of this role is to work side by side with the Head of Design RTW, on executing the overall design vision and creating technical product specs for mens and womens RTW collections.

Job description

• Supporting Head of Design in daily matters
• Creating technical product specs across product categories and mens and womens
• Translating design vision into technical drawings
• Pro-actively shaping the mens and womens collection with product design ideas, technical solutions, trend research, etc.
• Communicate ideas through illustrations and technical drawings
• Create consistency and brand identity together with Head of Design
• Work collaborative with other departments, especially with the RTW developers and the FTW designers
• Create collection overviews, contribute to seasonal themes, mood boards and research

Qualifications

• Degree in fashion design or related discipline
• 2-3 years working experience in mens and/or women's RTW category
• Efficient in Adobe illustrator & Photoshop. Additional 3D computer design software knowledge is a plus
• Ability to clearly complete tech specs fast, detailed and consistent
• Have a strong sense of market trends
• Good sense for quality and experience with fabrics
• Obtain the highest level of attention to detail
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Team worker
