Lead Tail Spend Management (m/w/d)

In this very exciting managerial role you will be part of the Indirect Procurement team ('InPro'), that plays a strategic role in procuring indirect (non-merchandising) goods and services for Zalando.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- You will lead and develop the tail spend management team by driving a customer-centric, data-driven and agile culture.
- You will define and execute the tail spend strategy across relevant commodities and deliver an optimized solution via one of our tail spend channels.
- You will establish a strong network and ensure continuous alignment with relevant stakeholders (e.g. commodity clusters, business units, legal, finance operations,..)
- You will drive efficiency and optimization initiatives in area of scope and constantly source the market for optimal tail spend solutions
- You will carry out fact based negotiations and provide advice for decision making on how to optimize the tail spend based on data analytics
- You have a Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or equivalent.
- You have 5+ years of experience in procurement and/or supply chain, ideally in a similar role in technology-intensive and / or fast growing companies
- You bring strong leadership skills with first experience in managing people
- You bring strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- You are a technology savvy and are passionate about digitalization
- You bring strong (data) analytics skills and preferably experience with advanced business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Celonis, SAP Analytics Cloud or other)
- You master oral and written communication in English. You are a careful and patient listener. You deliver clear, concise explanations, oral or written, that trigger understanding and action in your counterparts.
