JOB PURPOSE

The Data Analyst will manage the master data objects and to create, maintain and monitor the Commercial master data in SAP environments and other systems, including Vendor, Customer, Finance and Store domains. The Data Analyst will provide the necessary data management and analysis support to support commercial related decision-making.

* This is a temporary role on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the definition of master data needs by collaborating with business, functional and IT stakeholders;
  • Collect, process, and delete operational data on an ongoing basis as required by the organisation;
  • Support all corporate, regions, wholesale and retail teams on all aspects of data in SAP throughout the product lifecycle and market calendar;
  • Create and manage the following master data objects ensuring data integrity and successful execution in SAP within agreed timelines:

- Financial master data relating to General Ledger, Cost and Profit centres;

- Commercial master data relating to Sites, Vendors and Customers.
  • Ensure all associated team reference documentation is kept up to date;
  • Ensure commercial data is extracted promptly and kept up to date;
  • Address errors occurred during commercial data transfer with either IT or other business function teams;
  • Maintain integrity and consistency in SAP for data;
  • Support procedures around the creation, amendment and deletion of data;
  • Report on data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across systems;
  • Support other team members during peak periods, and other ad-hoc activities;
  • Ensure that master data management practices adhere to regularoty requirements, and internal controls;
  • Support data audits as necessary, and assist with the implementation of any changes resulting from the audit.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Experience of working with or around data;
  • Previous experience with SAP and/or other central data systems is desirable;
  • Understand business change needs and assess the business impact of those changes;
  • Capture, analyse and document requirements while supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information succinctly and concisely;
  • Present a welcoming attitude to change and adjusts dynamically to continuous business change and improvement;
  • Capable and proactively takes on different activities in line with business need;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels across the business.
