Purpose:

To manage the company's Systems and related areas of concern. To develop relationships and work alongside suppliers who help to manage network technology, IT security and the software platforms used by the company. To help establish data storage infrastructure and access protocols and rules within the company. Own the company’s Systems and integrations map. Design, test, implement, and document interfaces and new functionality. Provide Systems & integration support to all end users and Retail stores, including training and associated documentation. Predominantly a hands-on technical role, the Systems Manager will be required to be the subject matter expert for IT Processes, manage installations and configurations as well as run administration on a range of Systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain integrations between systems and third parties, which include (but are not limited to) SFTP, EDI, and Web Service.
  • Pro-actively monitoring to ensure transmissions are operating smoothly and without any error.
  • Draft specification documents with users.
  • Manage the day to day operation of the systems used in the company.
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
  • Ensure all employees are appropriately trained on relevant platforms in order to be able to work effectively in their respective areas.
  • Draft and publish user documentation, as appropriate.
  • Be the key liaison for external consultants to ensure best provision of services for business.
  • Support the development, implementation and coordination of systems policies and procedures.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
  • Identify problematic areas and implement timely strategic solutions.
  • Support business and system growth with agreed configuration changes to Systems to enhance and expand functionality.
  • Lead on reporting requirements and provision.
  • Audit systems, assess their outcomes and present information to Head of Systems & IT where necessary.
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
  • Provide assistance with budgeting, including control on licensing for all Systems.
  • Propose new solutions for business efficiencies, social/environmental impact, and revenue increase.

Any other tasks as requested.

System Skills and Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of PLM systems (ideally Centric) would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of POS & stock management systems (ideally Cegid) would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of E-Commerce and PIM systems desirable
  • Experience of Supply Chain including Retail and Wholesale
  • Experience of implementation of significant IT solutions and project management.
  • Experience of technical support and computer operations.
  • Knowledge of ERP and WMS.
  • Experience of Integration development and management, including knowledge of EDI protocol and processes, SFTP, CSV, API, Web Services
  • Knowledge of SQL and XML
  • Knowledge of Networks, TCP/IP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to be pro-active, use initiative and work independently
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, and ensure delivery of results within tight deadlines
  • Pace: Ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment by being flexible and adaptable.
  • Communication: Strong and effective presentation skills and ability to converse with a diverse range of people at all levels.
  • Excellence: High level of finesse and excellence required in delivery of all tasks.
