CORE FUNCTION:

The core focus of the role will be in managing the global operations and logistics function, delivering a first-class level service to our worldwide wholesale client base. As Operations and Logistics Manager you will join the Saloni London team to build the best service to the customers through stock management, logistics and the customer service partner teams.

THE POSITION

Reporting to CEO, this role is responsible for the overall efficient shipping of orders, management of the overall logistics effort required to fulfil the sales order book, and general support to the sales team as required to drive sell-through. You will partner with Production, Sales and Finance and will be the main contact for our US Agent and European Distributor.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Overall Responsibility for all Wholesale and Logistics functions

  • Administering in season stock allocations for all markets
  • Seasonal intake forecast report based on Production schedule
  • Creating the production order split for each factory and sending over to them based on the sales orders, prior to the start of seasonal shipment 
  • Arranging finished goods shipment with freight forwarders from factories and liaising with warehouses regarding booking in stock and reporting any discrepancies or overages
  • Creating ASN for inbounds to be booked in warehouses and preparing product catalogue report prior to each season and sending it over to each warehouse
  • Dropping pick tickets across three warehouses and organizing shipments
  • EDI order (USA) management /check / release. Intertrade catalogue management for USA EDI customers
  • HTS tariff code ( USA & European ) classification for each product. Calculating duties and taxes.
  • Manage seasonal credit approval process all markets (Hilldun; Coface) and ensure correct payment terms are administered for each order all markets
  • Prepare and issue customer booking requests for wholesale customers
  • Manage all inventory movements
  • Overseeing closing seasonal order books
  • End of month invoiced and shipped reconciliation
  • In-season delivery performance - shipping / invoicing reports
  • Prepare monthly Agents Commission Report
  • Weekly Inventory Reporting and Monthly Inventory Valuations
  • Providing support to Production, Sales and Finance on all Logistics and Operations areas
  • Overall responsible for the Logistics and Wholesale Ops overheads budget  - approving all budgeted invoices and working with finance in cost discrepancies.
  • Line manage one direct report
  • Work with ecommerce team to coordinate on stock management and provide efficient shipping support
  • Enhance the productivity, efficiency, and service levels of our logistic and warehouse teams
  • Proactively identifying continuous improvement and cost saving opportunities for the company and team
  • Stock management
  • Handle ad hoc projects as assigned by management
