Description:

The first ever rewardStyle Producer will build and own a modern digital newsroom, leveraging an ecosystem of channels and distribution points to create an innovative and efficient approach to storytelling and brand-building unlike seen in any other technology company to date. The Producer will enjoy a unique launching pad that includes access to global influencer talent, brand and retail executives, proprietary retail and marketing data, growing audiences and established brand authority.

rewardStyle sits at the intersection of tech, ecommerce, marketing and popular culture and has built an existing audience in the millions. With nearly 300 employees across multiple countries, 100K influencer clients, 5K global retail clients, 10 million app users and $2.5B in annual retail sales, rewardStyle has pioneered a new industry. In the 10th anniversary year of the company, the Producer will launch a newsroom that engages audiences, unfolding a story of innovation and global leadership.

This role will work with rewardStyle's General Managers, founders and executive team members to understand business needs and develop public-facing storylines to be programmed across owned channels, including but not limited to @rewardStyleHQ (Stories, IGTV, Reels, live...), rewardStyle LinkedIn, rewardStyle.com, as well as press and client/partner outlets. The Producer will also be responsible for identifying and launching new temporary and persistent channels as necessary to meet audience and business needs. Content will be strategically positioned and engaging to target audiences, formatted to best leverage the tools of each platform/channel.

The Producer will coordinate and supervise all aspects of production, from the creative to the administration including handling contracts, talent and trade/partnership agreements and other administrative details. The Producer will be responsible for choosing the format of content for each channel and will not be limited to video.

rewardStyle is uniquely positioned to transform corporate brand-building and take control of its own storytelling, expanding beyond PR and influencer into a newsroom model that is akin to multi-channel media houses like CNN.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a newsroom approach to rewardStyle's content - create breaking news events and distribute across our owned platforms
  • Identify opportunities throughout the organization and generate content ideas that maximize our storytelling
  • Produce innovative content and execute coverage of stories across digital platforms in real-time
  • Create second and third lives out of content curated for our audiences
  • Identify and leverage newsjacking opportunities with PR to drive virality
  • Cultivate and cast internal and external talent to deliver compelling content for rewardStyle
  • Manage localized as well as international editions/episodes of content
  • Manage social channels with team on weekends, assigning and managing handles collaboratively

Requirements:
  • Experience in delivering compelling content and quickly in a high volume, fast paced and dynamic environment is required.
  • 10+ years of managing editorial content across owned channels (website, social, in-app, etc.) including analytics to drive performance
  • Branded newsroom or news website experience preferred; extensive digital media, social agency or digital magazine experience a plus
  • First adopter of web and social media products and channels and how to leverage them
  • Newsjacking guru - one-step ahead of social, technical, media and cultural trends
  • Extensive experience in hands-on content production/packaging content into stories including editing, copywriting, video, audio and more.
  • Strong editorial eye to deliver against the highest of expectations for our brand
  • Portfolio of contacts in video, audio, photography, copywriting for digital assets development as needed that complements internal creative team
  • A healthy balance of right and left brain skills -equally comfortable talking performance as well as creative required
  • Comfortable with the 24/7 nature of news and media and the need to be responsive beyond traditional hours of 9-5.
  • Versed in working with Adobe software packages; video/audio production; social/web publishing and development
