Job Details

As our Social Media Editor, you will curate and maintain Saloni’s digital image and social media presence. You will work closely with our founder, the brand Designers and our E-commerce Manager to produce engaging social media content and advertisements. You will track social media analytics to ensure we see growth of the social channels and strong engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Social Media strategy for the brand with our founder 
  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand tone, image, and style on our social channels
  • Work with our agency to develop social media marketing strategies and campaigns 
  • Work with our founder and potential external agencies to develop compelling social campaigns for influencers and content creators 
  • Draft, proofread and post all content on social media channels 
  • Community management by responding to followers comments and engaging with relevant social accounts 
  • Determine the optimal times to post content and manage the scheduling tools
  • When required, coordinate third party design and writing teams to ensure the timeous delivery of content
  • When required, attend events to capture content 
  • Ensure there is a good consistency between what is communicated on social media with the rest of the brand comms (e.g. website, emails) working closely with the E-commerce Manager 
  • Generate analytic reports and social media feedback for presentation and review
  • Keeping abreast of industry and consumer trends, advancements in technology, and new social media platforms and tools

 

 

The ideal candidate

  • A minimum of three years of experience as a social media editor or similar (brand or agency side) with relevant luxury or contemporary brands 
  • Experience/Qualifications in Digital Content Creation, Social Media, PR or Journalism
  • Good knowledge of social scheduling and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Planoly, Later 
  • Deep understanding of all major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube
  • Strong design knowledge and proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) with attention to detail
  • Highly engaging, versatile, and adaptable
  • The ability to keep up with industry trends and new social networks
