The Role as CEO

Since Global Fashion Agenda’s incumbent CEO, Eva Kruse, will leave the organisation to pursue new external opportunities, the Board has initiated a search for her successor under the leadership of its Nomination Committee (Niels Eskildsen, Cristiana Falcone, Thomas Tochtermann).

The overall goal for the role is to develop and implement GFA´s strategy and at the same time ensure a strong performing organisation. The role has currently four direct reports (Chief Sustainability Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Communications Director and Executive Assistant/Chief of Staff).

The CEO is responsible for driving the strategy and digital transformation, partner and stakeholder management, ensure a strong performing organisation. The main responsibilities of the CEO include:

Strategy and Business leadership

Develop high-quality business strategies and plans within sustainability in fashion and high-performance business leadership enabling content development, policy input, knowledge/innovation sharing and engagement facilitation for the foundations overall mission.

Digital Transformation

Accelerating the organization into a digital leader.

Strategic Partner & Stakeholder Management

Build and maintain trusting relations with key partners and important stakeholders.

Strong Performing Organisation

Attract and develop high calibre talent to the organisation. Ensure a high performing managerial team and encourage employee engagement across the organisation.

Financial sustainability

Secure long-term financial sustainability of foundation based on several independent revenue streams.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should match the following experiences and personal competencies:

EXPERIENCES:

  • Proven insight, high credibility, and a global network with sustainability and fashion
  • Demonstrated skills in collaborating and balancing the needs of different stakeholders
  • Successfully communicating purpose driven topics
  • Previous experience in successfully leading a purpose-driven small to mid-sized team or organisation with P&L responsibility
  • Track record of attracting and developing talent and bringing an organisation to the next level
  • Have demonstrated use of digital technologies and innovation in business transformation
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial (or scale-up) environment
