The RealReal is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager of Retention who is customer-obsessed, hands-on, and focused on delivering an outstanding experience consignors.  

You will partner highly cross-functionally with Sales, Merchandising, Product, and other key stakeholders to help drive consignor retention for our business. Working with owned marketing channels (email, in app messages, SMS and push), you will connect consignors with the right message at the right time in the right channel. You have experience with segmentation and testing framework and will rely on data to glean insights to make decisions. You will dive in to understand key drivers of consignor growth; optimizing what's working and removing friction where it exists in the consignor experience with your cross functional partners.

What You Get To Do Every Day
  • Generate + nurture leads through smart campaigns + landing page optimization 
  • Build consignor segments + corresponding campaigns 
  • Partner with the sales organization on strategic outreach through audience creation + templates 
  • Own all programmatic sales campaigns 
  • Partner with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Production to drive segmentation and personalization strategies (custom or otherwise) 
  • Deliver on leads and consignor goals, and report on weekly and monthly metrics, KPIs and provide insights to leadership
  • Be an authority on copy and design, leveraging data to drive consignment, and engagement to back decisions
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Acquisition Marketing, Merchandising, Product, Pricing and Planning, and Partnerships to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging and strategy
  • Management of email and mobile vendor technical and strategy resources
  • Manage team of specialists who will execute day to day campaigns

What You Bring To The Role
  • 5-7 years of experience in B2C marketing or product management with an emphasis on direct digital marketing channels
  • Direct experience managing consumer facing email and mobile push programs required
  • Experience with A/B testing and a combination of B2C and B2B lead nurturing experience
  • Adept in strategic thinking & analytics with a passion for innovation and creative problem solving (familiarity using tools such as Google Analytics, Looker and Amplitude a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a demanding and ambiguous environment with competing priorities
  • Prior ecommerce, retention, lead generation, loyalty or mobile marketing experience is a plus
