As Senior HR Business Partner you will be responsible for strategically challenging the HR agenda in approximately 10 International Logistics sites (Spokes and Return Centres) across Western Europe. You will frequently travel to your sites (~50% of time), establish strong relationships with our service providers, develop standards & closely work with them across various countries to raise the bar in all HR related matters. You use your extensive international HR experience to push the relationships with our 3PLs (Third party Logistics providers) to the next level and obtain the best possible results for Zalando.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Contribute with strong international HR knowledge & experience and/or in close collaboration with local experts (e.g. local labour consultant, legal lawyers) for country overarching topics (e.g. with Spokes & Return Centres in 10+ countries)
  • Focus on building strong partnerships with our 3PLs, driven by clear communication, dependability, integrity and operational excellence; proactively work with our partners to make sure our standards are fulfilled throughout the entire logistics network & regularly visit the sites
  • Establish clear HR and Labour Relations policies (in collaboration with our Strategic Employee Relations team from the Headquarter)(, guidelines and standards that are frequently audited (either internal or external)
  • Work closely with each of the Zalando site leads/ spokes & return centre managers but also with the central 3PL Management team to continuously challenge our 3PLs together and enable the Zalando vendor managers in these very relevant HR topics
  • Work on country overarching topics and develop overarching frameworks & minimum standards that are rolled out to the entire network
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 5+ years HR experience in an International context; European environment,
    preferably in Western European countries such as France, Sweden, Spain or Switzerland
  • Vendor Management: working with external partners, ideally logistics providers (3PLs), steering, leading & challenging them or alternatively direct experience of operating HR teams across multiple sites / countries
  • Relationship Management: establishing strong relationships through empathy, reliability, clear communication and analyzing/sharing data
  • Process Sustainment: working with HR KPIs, setting standards, auditing, process improvement, drive and monitor continuous improvement to ensure that the service providers are performing according to the agreed SLA's and KPI's via reporting, action tracking and auditing processes
  • Problem Solving: Building easy-to-understand frameworks and mechanisms that are suited for consistently preventing and solving issues in the long term
  • Experience in Labour Relations, Union and/or Works council negotiations, understanding of local market conditions ideally also in an international context
  • Experience in Logistics and/ or other production/ non overhead environment
  • Multilingual (fluent English plus minimum one additional language: French, Spanish, Swedish); German is not required but a plus
