Sales Manager NA
Vanguards Group is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join its team in New York to cover its portfolio brands’ wholesale management on the North American market.

Main duties will include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrates strong understanding of internal and external perspectives of the North American fashion wholesale market
- The right candidate is able to build and form the wholesale strategy for the territory, in line with group and company level objectives
- Able to project sales based on economical and territorial specifications in-line with the merchandising strategy and the channel’s budget plan
- Having strong relationships with key decision makers at key accounts the right candidate is able to influence and support the sales strategy’s execution for the group’s brands
- A diplomat who represents the group in related high-level conversations and advocates for the interest of the group and its brands
- Oversees the organizations territorial sales strategies, processes, initiatives, and policies
- Maintains the sales funnel and ensures reporting mechanism in order to strengthen business awareness and intelligence
- Reports to Global Wholesale Director on global business status and trends
- Provides valuable information for business planning purposes and sales channel allocations
- Advises on local pricing structures to the group’s portfolio brands according to local brand positioning
- Contributes to cultivation of new account and other commercial opportunities
- Drives sales goals for each specific account and category
- Takes an active part in volume negotiations and key account partnership discussions
- Analyzes and identifies areas for improvement and detects opportunities
- Monitors sell-out and identifies opportunities to maximise performance
- Expands the Vanguards Group’s wholesale network and maintain its relationships to promote its portfolio brands
- Stays current with local industrial and cultural variances pertaining to wholesale sales
- Serves as the main point of contact in North America for group brands’ sales operation and strategy implementation purposes
- Responsible to visit potential clients to maintain relationships and ensure the quality of in-store brand representation
- Coordinates showroom set up and operations, manages the local permanent and seasonal sales teams during market weeks
- Runs sales appointments to maximalizes sell-in performance
- Negotiates possibly most favorable terms with accounts
- Prepares end-of-season sales reports to provide clear understanding of threats and opportunities on the local market
The ideal candidate will have the following skillset and experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in fashion wholesale, preferably in a multibrand or group setup
- Strong knowledge of the North American fashion wholesale landscape
- High sense of quality and good understanding of the contemporary and luxury fashion scene
- Hands on experience with complex project management
- Strategic thinking, strong business acumen
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills, self-starter, results-oriented team player, with the highest level of integrity
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
- Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages is an advantage
