PRODUCT DEVELOPER

PRODUCT DEVELOPER - DION LEE

The Product Developer will be based in the Dion Lee office in Tribeca, New York and will work closely alongside the Creative Director, Designers, Patternmakers and Production team. 

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Material Sourcing

• Assist with fabric, trims and accessory sourcing, fabric organization and issue all development purchase orders
• Ensure all sampling materials and trims are ordered and delivered on time to NY/SYD studio & offshore factories
• Gather pricing and technical details for all fabrics and trims sampled in preparation for production 

Development

• Prepare technical specification for all styles for handover to local patternmaker/sample room & offshore factories
• Prepare materials and samples to send Tech Packs to offshore and local factories, and communication with the factories. 
• Attend and prepare fit notes and style changes for each style to offshore factories
• Liaise between the New York and Sydney offices in the management of the sampling process
• Manage in house and out of house pattern making and sampling process in New York      
• Coordinate fitting, machinist and intern schedule    
• Track development expenses and invoices and ensure timely payment. 

Pre Production

• Work with production team to ensure collection handover is completed within required timeline
• Prepare and send necessary off shore tech packs
• Ensure BOMs are accurate and updated for product changes and communicated to production team
• Gather BOM information and enter costing chart into fashion management system

Critical Path

• Ensure individual tasks are efficiently executed and calendar deadlines are met and participate in critical path meetings, as appropriate
