Hewi is the destination for luxury fashion re-commerce. Established in 2012, Hewi is now looking for a like-minded Copywriter to join their growing, high impact team headquartered in central London. Hewi’s copywriter will provide original, impactful and on-brand text to storytell and elevate brand messages across all channels and platforms. 

At Hewi, product is king, and this should resonate through our copy. Our goal is to fuse luxury with the humour and fun that Hewi embodies. Our storytelling has a balanced goal of commercial success and brand equity, and the pace of content generation needs to align with Hewi’s ever-evolving inventory. We want to create fun and engaging copy that delivers authentic brand and commercial messages. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of Hewi’s voice, shaping brand language and tone.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver a consistent brand tone of voice across all touchpoints, ensuring copy aligns with priorities and strategic direction.
  • Create, develop and own all copy elements: produce content for daily uploads across all channels e.g. homepage content, product and category descriptions, newsletters, paid and organic social captions, press releases and SEO optimised articles.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create taglines, slogans and headlines for monthly focuses and on-going activity.
  • Interface with internal teams to improve the level of information, quality and richness of storytelling on a product level.
  • Contribute to new ideas on how to evolve editorial through dynamic content and a unique tone of voice.
  • Gather regular feedback from marketing teams on the impact and engagement of content, and work to refresh and improve storytelling to drive results.
  • Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in Hewi content.
  • Ensure accuracy and fact-check all content.

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Exceptional written English and communications skills - with a flair for story-telling. 
  • Confident ability to create and embed tone of voice, with a strong record of developing original and creative copy.
  • A love of storytelling, creativity and innovation.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, with good editorial judgement and a sensitive approach.
  • Demonstrates affinity with Hewi and luxury recommerce; experience within fashion e-commerce or online editorial desirable.
  • Comfortable fluidly crafting tones that speak to different audiences across fashion, sustainability and lifestyle areas.
  • Strong knowledge of product and trends.
  • Ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines.
  • SEO savvy.
