Studio Manager for a Fashion and Textile Company

Dashing Tweeds work with the best British textile and clothing manufacturers to create products with integrity and longevity. Through their unique cloth collections and design studio they collaborate with the most exciting brands in the fashion industry and beyond.

With a retail store and studio based in Marylebone, they have opened up a contemporary arena for classic quality fabrics and have created a range of innovative tweeds, accessories and tailoring for the 21st century man and woman.

The role:

The Studio Manager will work closely with the Owner/ Creative Director of the company to support with the smooth running of the business. This role will be for 3 days per week (with the occasional Saturday), and is maternity cover for 12 months initially, with the possibility of extension.

We are looking for someone to start in May 2021.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the owner of the company and overseeing the daily operations of the studio
• Assisting with customers enquiries and processing sales in store and online
• Managing our customer databases 
• Preparing sales invoices and tracking payments 
• Cutting and preparing cloth orders and organising deliveries
• Stock management of all cloth, ready to wear and concessions both in store and online
• Communication to all our agents and businesses who stock our cloth bunches with a stock update weekly/ monthly
• Creating and updating cloth bunches for customers 
• Reporting on sales and stock at the monthly meeting

Skills required:

• Experience working as a studio manager or similar role for 2+ years
• Educated to degree level
• Proficient use of Microsoft word and excel
• Client relation skills
• Time management skills
• Has experience working within the fashion and textiles industry

The job role is for 3 day per week and will be based in the studio in Marylebone for around 24 hours per week.
