We have an exciting opportunity for a District Manager to join our Middle East head-office in Dubai leading our UAE store networks.

JOB PURPOSE

To lead the relevant district store teams and to own the execution of a brand vision and strategies consistently across our stores.

To drive consistent execution of the Burberry Experience across the allocated district by setting direction, coaching and developing the district team, building succession plans and influencing regional decisions.

To drive profitable top line sales growth, operational excellence and 'best in class' talent.

To support the Regional Director on any overall strategic projects for the region

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership
  • Ensure a consistent execution of the Burberry Experience and Service focused approach across all channels within the district
  • Lead and manage a high performing store network, ensuring the employee experience is in line with brand strategies and drives the customer experience
  • Ensure stores through successful recruitment, on-boarding and training create a customer focused service store culture.
  • Ensure store leadership and all employees are effectively developed and coached to achieve overall success of the store and their personal development
  • Ensure the store staffing and staff schedules are optimised to match customer traffic flows and operational demands
  • Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with store management.
  • Work in conjunction with other Regions and Districts to share best practice and build consistent ways of working

Drive for Results
  • Through leadership across district / market drive productivity and profitability e.g. conversion rates, sales, UPT, AUR, customer data capture etc. Analyse reports to identify deficiencies and opportunities. Develop relationships and communicate effectively with product teams
  • Ensure stores across district are leveraging the customer profile database (CRM) and store reports to support the development of a loyal customer base.
  • Develop teams to achieve the highest quality of clientelling and customer profile capture with every transaction
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to across store remit and Asset and Profit Protection strategies are followed in order to minimise any losses
  • Provide high value feedback on trading opportunities across district, when required, to the Regional Director and the Merchant teams following regional requirements through effective partnership with store management teams.
  • Ensure store management drive the digital strategy and ensure employees are engaged with new digital initiatives
  • Drive compliance across district with global standards and excellent product knowledge across the region
  • Drive execution of company and regional initiatives through partnership with local store teams.
  • Ensure consistent execution of visual standards across district stores.
  • Continuously analyse the business and create clear action plans that optimise results

Talent Management
  • Build an inclusive high performing management team across multi-site stores.
  • Coach, develop and maximise the success of all reports across the district
  • Attract, identify and retain top talent in stores.
  • Inspire others to trust and follow with integrity.
  • Lead and influence change across store teams to ensure alignment with brand vision and focus.
  • Have oversight all talent discussions and succession planning across district.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Consistent, strong performance in retail leadership roles with proven ability to increase sales and profitability within designated area.
  • Excellent people management skills, ability to network, recruit, train, develop and assess talent.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Previous experience within luxury retail, oversight of large volume, luxury stores, preferably multi-store experience
  • Balanced strengths in Talent, Operational Excellence and Brand Execution
  • Demonstrable experience in influencing change at a senior leadership level.
