- Develop clear and compelling product narratives and positioning by understanding merchant and partner needs, product roadmap, market trends, and competitive forces.
- Define the go to market strategy to enable successful product launches and growth campaigns by working cross functionally with Product Management, UX, Engineering, Marketing, PR, Support, Data and Revenue Operations and Sales.
- Create strategies to drive product success through all stages of the merchant adoption funnel from awareness, adoption, through to advocacy
- Help influence the products we are building through deep market analysis, competitive research and merchant/partner feedback; collaborate with product teams to optimize product elements that boost user engagement and alleviate product issues and gaps.
- Run A/B tests to optimize user messaging strategies and quantitatively test hypotheses pertaining to acquisition and engagement strategies
- Identify KPIs, set targets, and analyze the results of product launches and growth efforts against those targets
- Communicate effectively and often to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned
Qualifications
Requirements for the Role:
- Extensive experience in marketing, product marketing, product or a customer consulting role
- The ability to thrive in uncertainty, resolve ambiguity and think quickly on your feet
- Experience driving product growth
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, while being able to stay focused on the big picture and pay attention to details
- A resourceful attitude and positive negotiation skills - you'll be working with a lot of different teams across Shopify as well as with external partners
