As the Strategic Marketing Manager, you will partner with the Large Accounts sales Team to help the biggest brands in the world come to Shopify. You areresponsible for defining what world-class account based marketing looks like, and executing those programs to drive new revenue.You'll also share insights and learnings back to the Merchant Success, Partner and Marketing teams to help shape their strategy.

This is a rare opportunity to build a new craft at Shopify from the ground up. You'll teach us what excellent looks like and set a new foundation for future growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop creative strategies and programs that help win target accounts
  • Measure the success of ABM rollout across targeted channels and segments
  • Incorporate experimentation to accelerate learning
  • Build and maintain a resource library
  • Share best practices, learnings, and examples across the company
  • Identify and validate new opportunities to creatively reach our audience

How this role works with other Teams at Shopify:

Sales: Work closely with the Large Account sales team to penetrate large, complex organizations.

Partnerships + Merchant Success: Provide insights into merchant profile summaries (today + forecasted) to support partnership team relationships and to set Merchant Success up for solid relationships with brands coming to their portfolios.

Enablement: Work with enablement team to create content to leverage learnings experience with the broader org.

Qualifications

  • Empathetic in understanding the individuals that you're trying to reach
  • A creative thinker who is constantly exploring new ways to reach and target our primary contacts
  • Comfortable speaking directly to prospects and existing customers
  • Experienced in working on or with B2B SaaS sales teams
  • Fluent in Salesforce and Marketo
  • Comfortable working with design templates and can write thoughtful B2B copy
  • Familiar with ABM technology and can evaluate possible options for adoption
  • Organized
  • Patient - this is a marathon; not a sprint
