Job Details

By Malene Birger is looking for a business-minded, strategic and proactive Head of Wholesale to join our exciting journey. In this role you will lead an experienced sales team in aligning our existing business with our strategy and values as well as build and develop our wholesale business globally. You will demonstrate an aptitude in establishing strong and productive business relationships fast across a number of internal departments as well as with agents, distributors and customers.

You will be highly analytical and organized with an opportunistic approach that continuously looks to evolve, optimize and improve all aspects of our wholesale business. The role is a 12 month maternity cover from June 2021, reporting to the CEO with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and inspire a sales team of 8 based in Copenhagen and Stockholm with a focus on growth outside the Nordics.
  • Manage agents and distributors, co-create business plans, set targets and lead business reviews to evaluate KPI’s.
  • Work with marketing to establish key account marketing plans to drive sell through, brand awareness and secure collaborations with strategic partners.
  • Develop and manage internal and external reporting for wholesale business to maximize sales team, agent and distributor performance and provide data and insights to the BMB management team and board.
  • Work closely with product teams to leverage feedback from sales team, buyers, agents and distributors to identify growth opportunities for key items and categories.
  • Lead department projects including; developing virtual sales tools, pop up showrooms etc.
  • Plan and execute successful twice-annual sales meetings.
  • Own P&L for wholesale department, including OPEX, forecasting, OTB inventory management and margin maintenance.
  • Develop annual strategy, identify opportunities and complete annual sales planning together with the CCO.

Profile

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Sales leadership role.
  • Able to demonstrate examples of leading a sales team to increase account profitability, managing agents and distributors, onboarding key accounts and executing successful contract negotiations.

  • Previous experience of full P&L management for a +150m dkk net sales business.

  • Strong understanding of BMB mission and DNA.

  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Flexibility to travel.
