Primary Purpose:
The Associate Designer, Global Visual Experience, will play a key role in designing pop-ups and In-store experiences for the Coach brand. This individual will be passionate about creating exciting, experiential spaces for customers, and will be responsible for design projects from ideation through to final design and global roll-out.
The candidate should combine a competent proficiency with 3D software, with strong ideation and design skills. They will have a unique creative eye and a passion for spatial design, with a strong sense of material, form and aesthetics and a passion for the industry. This individual will join the studio at an exciting time, and should be passionate about the future of spatial design and visual experience. The ideal candidate will be excited to push the boundaries of retail design, infusing storytelling, events and experiences into environments that were traditionally retail driven. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Creative Visual Experience.

- Design seasonal pop-up, window, event and showroom spaces, working on projects from early ideation to technical execution.
- Work independently whilst maintaining an understanding of the overall creative vision and objectives - they must demonstrate ability to think creatively and innovatively in a fast-paced environment.
- Translate creative concepts into design projects with a variety of outcomes, from physical pop-ups and retail environments to digital spaces.
- Develop spatial design concepts using a combination of sketching, visualization, rendering and 3D modelling skills.
- Work with production partners to develop materials and prototypes for creative sign off.
- Support regional teams in the global execution and regional roll out of designs. Ability to adapt designs to different store layouts and to tier ideas down across multiple scales and touch points.
- Create technical guidance booklets for regional and production teams to adapt to local markets.
- Capacity to critically manage time and to work to tight deadlines.
The accomplished individual will have...
- 1 to 2+ years experience designing spaces within a creative studio.
- A design degree in architecture, scenography, interiors, product design or similar.
- A passion for designing experiences, spaces and furniture.
- An interest in designing both physical and digital spaces.
- Ability to follow creative direction and adapt designs according to creative feedback.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong layout and technical skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in 3D modelling, confident with technical drawing, rendering and visualization.
- Proficiency using Sketchup, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite essential.
- Proficiency using Keyshot, Cinema 4D or similar rendering software a plus.
- Experience working within luxury fashion/ retail environments a plus.
- Possession of a valid US work visa is preferred.
- Please note. This position will begin remotely but applicants should be willing to relocate to New York in the near future.
