ACCESSORIES PRODUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

As Accessories Production and Development coordinator you will work with the Creative Director and Accessories Design Manager and be responsible for coordinating production and assisting with development for shoes and accessories collections including, bags and jewellery. You will liaise with factories in Europe to oversee production and assist with the development process from research, sketching through to sampling and finished product. The role is based in our studio in London with regular travel to Europe as required. 

Specific duties include: 

• Implement and oversee a detailed production critical path timetable for all shoes and accessories collections, working closely with the factories and Design Manager to ensure deadlines are met.
• Work alongside the Creative Director and Design Manager to carry out development based on the Creative Director’s creative concept and brief for the season
• Communicate with and visit European factories as required for the design and development of the seasonal collection 

• Communicate with and visit factories regularly for the production of shoes and accessories collections, overseeing quality control and shipping deadlines

• Liaise with European suppliers to research and source leathers and fabrics, heels, hardware and other components for designs 
• Assist with the sampling process and liaise with factories to develop collection samples, ensuring samples are delivered on time, to the required standard and within budget 
• Oversee accurate and appropriate costing of seasonal accessories collections, alongside the Design Manager and the Sales Manager 
• On occasion assist with visiting leather and other sourcing fairs with the aim of finding new and appropriate suppliers to work with.

 
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• BA or equivalent qualification in a fashion related subject from a recognised College OR University, or the equivalent in experience.
• Significant prior experience in an accessories production and development role within a womenswear fashion business 
• Detailed knowledge of women’s fashion and an ability to understand the brand’s design aesthetic 
• Strong technical knowledge of womens shoes and bags and an ability to come up with creative solutions for finishes 
• Fluent English language skills. Spanish and Portuguese language skills are a bonus.
• Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage the production process and timetable 
• Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills 
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively manage team members 
• Proactive and can-do approach
