We are looking for a Merchandising Assistant to join our team based in Soho Works White City, London. This is an initial fixed term role on a full-time basis.

Your key role will be to assist the Aligne team with the management of our global stock and to provide administrative support relating to trading, forecasting and planning. This is a unique role for someone with strong analytical skills. This job is about analysing performance as well as supporting merchandising planning and replenishment with our factory suppliers.

THE COMPANY:

THE ROLE:

  • Maintain and update master product documents : line detail, master SKU list, invoice trackers
  • Manage the delivery process including maintaining delivery schedules
  • Provide analysis/summaries on orders and deliveries
  • Analyse and size orders
  • Approve shipping documents (packing lists and invoices), communicating any discrepancies to the team
  • Data entry and checks
  • Set up product information for new collections
  • Compile new orders
  • Provide label forecasts
  • Provide analysis as required e.g. Margin summary, by style and category sales, returns analysis
  • Communicate with suppliers and respond to queries
  • Develop effective working methods and best practices with the team
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested

THE PERSON:

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced in working in a fast paced environment
  • Always strives to improve the team’s operations and increase knowledge of own and related job functions
  • Possessing a positive and ‘can do’ attitude and a flexible approach
  • Commercial awareness with a keen interest in the retail industry
