Job Details
Axel Arigato Retail Buyer & Merchandiser will play an essential role on the success of our store network by choosing the right product for each store in the right quantities at the right time. With a strong commercial focus and a talent for spotting trends you will ensure the DNA of Axel Arigato is translated in every store.
Job description:
- Be responsible for the buy and allocation for the retail stores
- Set up par levels and extra par, inventory turnover ratio, weeks cover
- Working with HQ to allocate weekly stock replenishments in line with par levels
- Ensure the brand identity is translated in every store
- Daily follow up on sales, deliveries and stock levels
- Understand the product performance across all channels of distribution (online, wholesale, stores)
- Prepare weekly reports to monitor product performance in each store and present to the Retail Director and the wider team
- Analyse and provide feedback on sales by style, colour, size contributing to future design development
- Understand product life cycle, markdown strategies and margin analysis
- Anticipate demand based on sales trends
- Analyse consumer buying patterns and predict future trends
- Establish processes to communicate in an effective way with the Store Managers for regular feedback on product and customers
- Work closely with the Retail Manager to ensure the representation in-store is in line with VM guidelines
- Maintain close communication with the Store Manages to understand customer’s feedback
- Be aware of the business objectives which are set quarterly on revenue targets, inventory and KPI’s
Qualification:
- A required of minimum 2 years’ experience in buying and merchandiser for a fashion company, preferably in the luxury sector
- Experience on building reports that translate sales trends
- Must work independently with a hands-on approach
- Strong understanding of the Axel Arigato brand identity and aesthetics
- A great understanding of current social trends
- Highly organised, flexible and able to work in an ever changing environment
