Full Time

Throughout the work experience the student will gain experience in: 

  • Experience in a fast paced designer production department
  • Build on knowledge of production processes, raw materials and technicalities of garments
  • Labelling, composition and care of garments
  • Dividing and sending raw materials (fabric and trims) to send to factories
  • Quality checking raw materials
  • Quality checking garments alongside technical team
  • Preparing UPS and courier shipments, organising courier collections and updating team on shipments
  • Helping to prepare raw material tech packs to send to factories
  • Visiting London based suppliers to deliver or pick up small parcels or urgent goods
  • Keeping department trackers up to date with relevant information (as instructed)
  • Updating production system (as instructed)
  • Communicating with suppliers and vendors (as instructed)
  • Various other duties as necessary

The work experience placement is only available to students in tertiary education. There is no renumeration for this work placement; however, travel expenses will be covered up to £10 per day. The minimum length of the placement is 3 months up to 6 months.
