Job Details

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on our Buyer Engineering team. As part of the buyer engineering team, you'll support our public-facing website, backend systems, iOS and Android applications that power the purchase experience. You'll push the boundaries of search personalization, SEO, and design as we make our customer experience even easier and better to shop. You'll also build supporting systems and integrate them with technology from around the company to improve buyer-related operations. We are looking for full-stack engineers who bring fresh ideas, enjoy learning every day, willing to expand their development skills and solve challenging problems, and make a huge visible impact for our company.

What You Bring To The Role
  • 5+ years of professional web application / full-stack development experience.
  • Fluency with Ruby, Elixir, or Erlang
  • Strong understanding of web technologies: HTML5, Javascript, CSS/SASS, REST, JSON
  • Strong understanding of web-app performance fundamentals and related dev tools
  • Strong database fundamentals and experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Worked with search engines such as ElasticSearch, Lucene, Solr
  • Experience using async message queues
  • Mastery of git and Github workflows
  • Advanced CS degree or equivalent work experience
