GAUGE81 is a young fast-growing fashion start up based on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. Our activities include everything from the design, sourcing and manufacturing of the collections as well marketing and PR. Our collection launched on Net-a-Porter, SSense, Shopbop, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Moda Operandi, Browns Fashion, Harrods, Selfridges and Revolve.com, among others.

The production manager will help to perform the following tasks: 

• Attend fitting sessions and offer technical solutions to improve and perfect SMS for serial production
• Responsible for proactively improving quality and fit from SMS to final shipment sample
• Manage product requirements, test program, product validation, and quality plan
• Provide regular quality management reporting for the assigned product categories 
• Review weekly inspection reports from the factory and discuss suggestions for improvements with the team
• Measure post production against provided specs from the factories to identify fit issues or discrepancies from spec and report these findings with feedback and solutions
• Review feedback and weekly returns reports provided by the customer service team and regarding defective items or quality concerns
• Make wash/colour fasting/shrinkage tests across products
• Provide and review care instructions of all new products with each supplier
• Communicate with suppliers worldwide to review comments and arrange PPS and SHIPMENT samples.
• Make final size grading for all assigned product groups
• Travel to factories in Europe
• Review all audit reports from the factories and keep an overview on the supply chain map

What we are looking for:

- Bachelor in HBO Fashion & Management

- Extended knowledge of garment specifications, fit and quality.

- At least 5 to 7 years experience in women’s wear woven, knit and jersey.

- Enthusiastic, flexible and independent

- Expert in Excel

- Highly proficient in English language (speaking and writing)

- Full time

- Experience in travelling to factories
