JOB PURPOSE

The HR Advisor, German Speaking is responsible for managing and responding to queries escalated from the HR Service Desk including queue management of HR case management tasks via RemedyForce.

This is a key role within the HR Operations team providing support and coordination to managers and employees across the organisation in particular Northern Europe. T he HR Advisor provides advice of a generalist nature on all employment-related matters such as absence management, maternity, paternity, f lexible working, performance (including probation reviews), health management, working arrangements and informal resolution of issues, in line with Burberry policies and procedures within agreed SLAs and will work in close partnership with the HR Service Desk Advisors to provide users of the service with a first class customer service and issue-resolution.

You will be a conceptual thinker with superb organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and work at pace. You will possess great conflict management and problem solving skills with a strong understanding of the legislative frameworks and processes for UK and EMEIA.

Reporting into the Employee Services Manager, this role will partner with the wider HR Operations team and Employee Relations Centre of Expertise to ensure that an excellent level of customer service is provided to the business. This position could be based in Leeds, London or Remote (UK).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Tier 2 generalist advice and guidance online and by telephone across the full spectrum of people related queries including (but not limited to) maternity, paternity, flexible working, capability/performance management, health management and informal resolution of issues
  • Act as the escalation point for queries from the HR Service Desk, working in partnership with the HR Service Desk via phone, ticket and email.
  • Work closely with HR Service Desk Advisors to provide guidance to employees and managers for information on policies/guides held in burberryworld
  • Follow agreed principles to escalate cases when appropriate based on risk or stage of case and work in partnership with the Employee Relations Centre of Expertise and Legal as appropriate
  • Respond positively to escalations and complaints to ensure excellent customer service is consistently delivered
  • Highlight emerging trends and potential issues that may impact service delivery to ensure that the customer experience is not compromised. This will also include any queries that need to be highlighted to ER Advisors.
  • Provide generalist support for 'right to work' cases, partnering with the Global Mobility specialist
  • Provide generalist support for GDPR-related matters, partnering with DPO specialists
  • Manage HR activity for your specific regions and provide generalist advice and guidance on working practices as per local legislation
  • Provide HR generalist support to Employee Relations projects, as required
  • Support the training and upskilling of the HR Operations Coordinators where required to support peaks in workload
  • Supporting wider HR Operations ad-hoc projects and other duties where required Support HRBPs in your region with ad hoc requests


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Fluency in German (written and spoken)
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience of operating at HR Advisor level
  • Excellent customer service standards
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Strong critical thinker and attention to detail
  • CIPD qualification preferred but not essential
  • Experience of working in a Global Business Services Centre (preferred)
