To proactively manage pricing within MBIL manufacturing by completing benchmarking of factories and suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective prices are negotiated and agreed without impacting on existing relationships, quality or efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Requesting cost prices and cost sheets to factories, analysing them and uploading them in PLM system.
  • Analyse cost sheets from different factories, identifying differences and feeding back to senior team and factories.
  • Track costs and challenge them with factories.
  • Requesting prices from material suppliers and logging them in the PLM system.
  • Proactively look for opportunities for cost savings across factories before and after market.
  • Monitor historical pricing for reorders and similarities in pricing new collections.
  • Analyse pricing architecture and seasonal range plans provided by the Pricing Analyst - Commercial.
  • Approve factory invoices for sampling and production.
  • Support for divisional budget.
  • Manage factory invoice disputes.
  • Work closely with the Pricing Analyst – Commercial and liaise with other departments on all pricing matters.
  • Manage packaging orders.

Any other tasks as requested. 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Technical knowledge of luxury footwear is preferable (ideally women’s and men’s).
  • Italian (verbal and written) is essential as the role involves daily liaising with factories and suppliers in Italy.
  • Knowledge of materials in relation to features, benefits and pricing.
  • Excellent Commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, and ensure delivery of results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.  
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Network: Ability to build relationships and network easily, both internally and externally
  • Ambassador: Representing Manolo Blahnik products and values with passion.
