JOB SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to manage IT resources globally across multiple initiatives and multiple verticals related to infrastructure and cross-functional technology projects. Partner with business unit leaders, infrastructure team, integration team and digital teams to address the implementation, deployment requirements and issues of new technologies introduced into the environment including systems development, systems management and internally developed and packaged business systems. The role is to plan, organize, and manage projects/resources and overall day to day operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT infrastructure Project Portfolio. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems as well as application platforms. Has primary responsibility for maintaining a portfolio of projects, programs and Operational Tasks in his/her area and is directly accountable for the initiation and execution of projects as well as the prioritization and execution of maintenance items for the portfolio.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Has primary responsibility for maintaining a portfolio of projects and programs in his/her area and is directly accountable for the initiation and execution of projects as well as the prioritization and execution of maintenance items for the portfolio
    • Liase with Business and IT resources for project intake and manage their tasks and time as it relates to projects/operational tasks
    • Identify Resource constraints
    • Review and report to Leadership Team and Steer Co to develop Roadmap
    • Recommend and implement process and standards based designs, workflow, implementation and documentation for all activities of the infrastructure projects and teams.
    • Manage Project Tracker to provide metrics
    • As needed, hire, train, and supervise staff project managers for ongoing programs and for major projects; provide mentoring and development for staff


  • Project Management:
    • Plan, track and manage infrastructure projects, making sure that tasks are completed within the given time frame, identifying risks/issues, driving accountability and communication of status.
    • Manage project scope, including requirements definition
    • Define project schedules and resource allocation
    • Manage project budget and costs
    • Develop Communication Plan
    • Negotiate agreements with and manage external vendors and consultants as needed
    • Secure resource commitments from managers
    • Review deliverables, obtain appropriate business approvals, and provide final sign-off for milestones
    • Provide and input status into Project Tracker for rollup


  • Project Administration:
    • Time tracking: creation, maintenance, reporting to IT Finance
    • Intake / Process - Develop Project process for all stakeholders/sponsors to adhere to, ensuring visibility across the organization - Process Steward
    • Enforce Project Controls
    • Ensure Project Lifecycle is being adhered to
    • Ensure all PMs, Mgrs, Dir, Project Sponsors are updating/entering their projects on a weekly basis
    • Audit project list to determine appropriate status (approved, deferred, planning, waiting for Capex)
    • Extrapolate data from IT Tracker and review with leadership team on Bi-Weekly basis
    • Create Teams site with Process and Tools documents
    • Field any process questions
    • Provide and review project/portfolio reports on a regular basis
    • Prepare and submit project budgets for approval in line with overall departmental expenses


  • Contact Center Business Analyst:
    • Responsible for creating and examining functional specifications for Contact Center platform.
    • Asses contact center needs and provide technical recommendations
    • Act as a bridge between IT and business for Contact Center and other business entities


  • IT Facilities
    • IT Point of Contact for Corporate Renovations/Builds
    • Develop Scope and LOE
    • Provide engineering design services for cable layout and material list
    • Manage 3rd party bids
    • Coordinate vendor installs


  • Operational Support/Architecture
    • Working in conjunction with Enterprise Architecture engineer to evaluate and introduce to new technologies
    • Help facilitate the design and documentation of technology implementation processes and work flows for all components of the infrastructure. Especially focused on delivering the most important projects based on business priorities and technology stability. Assess the requirements of the project and recommend suitable IT components with Architecture team
    • Department Expense and Project Budget oversight

  • Third Party vendor management
  • Develop strong working relationships with key business and IT decision makers throughout the year and is committed to continually improve user satisfaction, project delivery techniques, delivery reliability and stream lining the delivery of projects.
  • Responsible for the coordination of cross-functional groups and team members including Application and Information Systems and Infrastructure teams.


EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Minimum 12+ years in IT Infrastructure
  • Minimum 5+ yrs in Infrastructure Management leadership roles
  • Retail experience highly desired
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related filed is desired
