JOB SUMMARY

The Operations Supervisor reports directly into the Operations Manager and is responsible for coordinating, prioritizing and leading daily picking functions & fulfillment of customer orders. The Supervisor is also responsible for developing production goals and labor schedules that are focused on achieving or exceeding the agreed upon SLA's for our customers. The supervisor will assist with training, development & implementation of process improvements. The supervisor is also responsible for ensuring associates follow policies & procedures including Safety & Standard Operating Procedures. This role requires a candidate that likes to spend time on the warehouse floor leading a team of dedicated associates to ensure our customers have a great experience buying on line from Tory Burch.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

Please think about the 4 key areas of responsibility:

FOCUS AREA #1 Operations
  • Develop, implement & execute daily plans that are aligned with SLA's & the broader team
  • Allocate & manage work across the department ensuring cost-effective achievement of production standards and department goals
  • Communicate & resolve operational issues while maintaining a safe working environment
  • Ensure accurate & timely packing of customer orders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth flow of work across all areas
  • Work with inbound & outbound counterparts to ensure fiscally responsible utilization of shared labor and coordinated execution of production plans
  • Establish a 5S culture by implementing, monitoring and maintaining associated policies. Coach associates as necessary and catch them doing something right
  • Supervise order pool & ensure any issues with customer orders are addressed immediately

FOCUS AREA #2 Performance Management
  • Coach associates and provide appropriate training to help them achieve/exceed expectations in their role including overall department & facility goals
  • Analyze available data to evaluate individual & departmental performance. Ensure associate time-off is managed in-line with departmental guidelines, policies/procedures & business needs
  • Work with your direct manager & Human Resources to address poor performance which includes administering any necessary corrective action in a timely, consistent and confidential manner
  • Listen to employee concerns & work with cross-functional business partners/leadership to address appropriately. Follow up with associate to close the loop.
  • Develop, evaluate and administer performance appraisals of department personnel

  • Continually look for ways to improve throughput & make recommendations to improve performance
  • Challenge the status quo & promote a culture that challenges processes or functions for efficiency and eliminating waste
  • Assess challenges and implement solutions to improve process flow
  • Address training needs and negative behaviors in the work environment
  • Recognize and promote positive, productive and team-oriented behavior
  • Train and develop direct reports to enhance performance and career development opportunities

  • Effectively lead team members & communicate across levels/departments to ensure building alignment
  • Leverage Company values and ensure corporate and warehouse safety policies and procedures are followed
  • Work well with others & create/maintain morale within the team to achieve a common goal
  • Communicate effectively with relevant departments to maintain balance in your area as well as the areas up and down stream.

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, H.S. Diploma Required
  • 3-5 years Warehouse Supervisory Experience
  • Experience working within a high volume / high value warehouse environment
  • Prior experience with automation within a warehouse environment
  • Prior experience managing a team and motivating team members
  • Experience working with WM systems
  • Self-motivated, flexible and conscientious
  • Good attention to detail with high level ability to measure accuracy
  • Ability to measure team targets against overall site target on a daily basis
  • Ability to measure productivity against available staff hour
  • Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish)
