Job Details

We're looking for an Integrated Marketing Manager to focus on Canadian marketing initiatives across all products and segments. You'll be helping Shopify win on home ice, scoping, planning and deploying campaigns that have a significant impact to our business.

Integrated Marketing is a cross-functional team of marketers chartered to develop, drive and execute integrated, go-to-market strategies for our brand, solutions, and products.

As an Integrated Marketing Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing integrated campaigns and programs to drive merchant acquisition and product adoption. This will include working closely with sales, account management teams, and channel and product marketing teams to build out targeted campaigns. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and proven campaign management experience in B2B.
  • Accountable for the integrated marketing strategy and execution in Canada, creating efficient working models to bring together global efforts and regional execution including campaign strategy, field/virtual events, and partner marketing execution.
  • Able to ensure ongoing alignment and dealing with conflicting priorities, managing urgent timelines, and the ability to do so in a rational, collaborative and effective manner.
  • Deep knowledge of full funnel marketing, from how we expand our brand awareness and shift perception, to how we demonstrate our value proposition through demand generation, cross-sell, upsell, referral and retention campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial leaders (sales, channels, ecosystem, and global) within Shopify's Canada and broader Commercial team
  • Develop a deep understanding of the impact of different types of messaging and content throughout the customer journey to help accelerate the buying decision and support the entire customer lifecycle: from acquisition to advocacy.
  • Establish new working models within demand generation, i.e. how to work more efficiently and collaboratively with the digital marketing, marketing operations, and international marketing teams.
  • Leverage CRM and performance data to tell a compelling user experience story, track conversion rates across the funnel, by campaign, by tactic, and make improvements to how we think about and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Work with our regional marketing and commercial leaders to evaluate merchant research, market conditions and competitor data to inform decisions.
  • Foster a culture of critical thinking and healthy debate to ensure we're focusing on the right things at the right time.
  • Responsible for managing budgets, and working with global teams to ensure regional marketing meets CAC goals
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, as you will share and discuss the business at large as well as the impact of the Canadian marketing programs to the business and bottom line.
  • Responsible for sharing insights and performance of campaigns on a regular basis across the Plus business.
  • Responsible for building account based marketing plan to acquire Canada's most influential ecommerce brands

Qualifications

  • Experience working in complex B2B SaaS organizations (startup or scaleup) and marketing teams.
  • Expertise planning and executing a multi-channel campaign strategy.
  • Background in Integrated Marketing, Growth Marketing, marketing consulting or a combination of corporate and field marketing.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and work collaboratively across organizations
  • Comfortable as an individual contributor as well as manager of a intermediate team
  • Possess strong people and organizational skills with the ability to effectively assign, delegate, coordinate and monitor the work of multiple stakeholders across departments and the globe
  • A self-starter who sets and keeps the pace for a global, extended team
  • An innate sense of urgency, and being able to create urgency for others to drive a program forward
  • Thorough knowledge of demand generation and marketing ROI including best practices, reporting and data analysis
  • Detail-oriented and can always see the big picture. You have no trouble turning a multi-dimensional program tracker into an executive or top-line summary.
  • Accountability and dependability - a reputation for doing what you say you are going to do and a willingness to go beyond the call of duty.
  • French/English bilingualism is an asset.
