Launched in the Summer of 2020, Universal Colours is a new cycling apparel brand that challenges current conventions through progressive design and considerately sourced and manufactured materials. Following the successful, global reception of our first collections, we are now looking for a Social Media & Content Marketing Executive to join our growing and ambitious team. The candidate will play an integral role in curating a social media strategy as well as supporting the content marketing function in delivering new and engaging concepts to further propel the brand. It is an exciting opportunity for someone to steer the evolution of the brand’s voice as well as its creative output and storytelling.

About the role

  • Developing content strategy and written content, including social media posts, blog features, marketing emails and product descriptions on universalcolours.com and POS materials.
     
  • Creating and coordinating web and social media content calendars, including paid media activity. 
     
  • Proposing an “always-on” approach delivering an original, consistent stream of visual posts and content by collaborating with the design team and photographers.
     
  • Ensuring campaigns are executed with the right tone of voice across channels and customer touch points.
     
  • Identifying and engaging with brand advocates to drive endorsement and help build an online community.
     
  • Setting targets for all key social activity and reporting back to the team on a monthly basis, providing analytics proactively and reactively to monitor and drive success. 
     
  • Supporting at events, documenting community stories and features.
     
  • Working closely with the Designer, Brand Manager and wider Marketing team to help develop and execute the content calendar.
     
  • Actively following trends and developments in the digital, creative and social media space.


About you

  • Interest and passion for cycling and fashion, culture and trends.
  • Always looking out for what’s new and keen to proactively discuss and share ideas.
     
  • 1-2 years experience managing social media platforms and/or previous agency, journalistic or brand experience.
     
  • An experienced writer with excellent English who can draft creative as well as factual, technical copy.
     
  • Highly motivated, clear communicator with great interpersonal skills. 
     
  • Organised - loves to plan, build and manage project timelines.
     
  • A self-starter with a natural sense of urgency.
     
  • Resourceful, but knows when to ask for help.
     
  • An ambassador for the brand with an environmental consciousness.
     
  • Willingness to go places; a get up and go attitude.
     
  • Photography and digital editing skills a plus.
