JOB SUMMARY
Project Manager, Design is responsible for designing and maintaining TB operated projects from inception through construction punch list and to maintain and inspect fixtures are per TB standards
Responsibilities include but are not limited to schematic layout, coordination with Landlord, architect, and vendors, review shop drawings and manage project design schedule and budget.
Key Interactions:\tStore Planning construction / Landlords / Architectural consultants / General Contractors and Sub-contractors / Fixture Fabricators / Retail Operations / Visual Merchandising
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the design and design schedule and the execution of the construction documents to successfully complete new store and remodel projects.
• Review and incorporate Landlord requirements
• Prepare schematic layout including floor plan and elevations for new boutique stores
• Produce color floorplan and elevations as necessary to convey design intent
• Review design development and construction drawings by consulting architect to ensure accuracy and design intent is met for bid and construction
• Coordinate with landlord/ tenant coordinator all criteria is met
• Coordinate with architectural consultant and landlord any permit criteria, expeditor lead time
• Manage coordination of SBO items
• Review shop drawings
• Review layout with Retail Operations team to ensure all BOH criteria is met
• Manage project schedule from schematic to construction phase
• Prepare and review all fixture bid packages
• Review any RFI's from contractor and troubleshoot any design related issues during construction
• Review project after demo and punch list to ensure design intent can and has been executed
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES NOT COVERED IN FOCUS AREAS
• Strong Communication skills, ability to interact well with consultants, landlords and internal business partners
• High level understanding of Construction process
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working in high volume capacity
• Solid decision making skills based on changing conditions
• Exhibits honesty and integrity
• Travel required
EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related area
• Minimum 3-5 years retail design experience in high end/luxury retail
• Highly motivated, self-starter
• Strong sense of urgency
• High level written and oral communication skills mandatory
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Must know Autocad, photoshop, Microsoft word, excel, Adobe acrobat pro
