The Team 

The Tommy Hilfiger Global & PVH EMEA Visual Merchandising, Display & Windows department is a creative hub within the omni-channel organization. This department oversees the creative strategy, development, and execution of product presentation across Tommy Hifliger global, Calvin Klein EMEA, and heritage brand and all points of sale. This includes full price retail stores, franchise locations, wholesale shop-in-shops, concession, and outlet channels. The Tommy Hilfiger global team sets global direction and works collaboratively with two other regional hubs in: New York and Hong Kong. To extend this outreach the team is set-up to also support the needs of local markets across Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. This team works in parallel with the global marketing team on a 360 concept and consumer messaging approach. The Calvin Klein regional team collaborates with the New York global headquarters on adapted direction to support the EMEA business needs. This includes visual merchandising, campaign roll out, and display strategies across the region. This team works in collaboration with numerous functions across the omni-channel business as well as local markets. The environment is collaborative, dynamic, innovative, resourceful, open and respectful. 

The team is also responsible for creating and communicating all Visual Merchandising tools including all seasonal guidelines, principles, and training tools for all divisions across the Tommy Hilfiger global, Calvin Klein EMEA, and heritage brands. Tools that will help provide a look and feel that represent both brands and protects its core DNA and ensures that retail/franchise stores, shop-in-shops, and outlets are delivering premium consumer experience through dynamic product presentation. This is supported by strong collaboration with store concept & design, marketing, merchandising, markets and all areas of the omni-channel team to ensure that the omni-channel visual merchandising, display, and windows strategy, the countries and point of sale needs are met.

The Position 
The Director, Visual Merchandising & Display CK EMEA will report into the VP, VM, Display & Window TH Global & PVH EMEA. Main responsibilities will include managing the level of VM execution across all Owned and Operated stores, Shop in Shop, and Outlet stores within Calvin Klein EMEA points of sales.  This position will partner closely with the central marketing teams in NYC along with local country teams across Europe, Middle East Africa+ on driving consumer engagement through constantly improving and elevating consumer messaging experience. Managing the VM and Display/Windows team, your team must deliver the following: 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Based on directions from CK global HQ the Director Visual Merchandising & Display CK EMEA is responsible for the development of VM concept and creative display all the way through to delivery and installation for all owned & operated full price, outlet, franchise, and wholesale locations. 
  • The role covers in-store visual merchandising, seasonal windows, guidelines and training tools, store openings, refits, and special events. 
  • Lead the creation of all Visual Merchandising guidelines in close collaboration with central omni-channel teams, EMEA brand and marketing teams that balance art and commerce, contributing to enhancing the customer store experience and increasing overall sales per square meter.  
  • Lead with a creative approach to brand presentation while still building a strong strategic direction that can be leveraged for both visual merchandising and windows across the region of EMEA. 
  • Lead display & window design team to deliver window concepts that are qualitative and in line with the global brand direction. 
  • Development of a detailed knowledge of all CK Retail Store Concepts and Visual collateral, especially all relevant Visual Merchandising standards and apply this expertise to support projects as well as to documenting and monitoring store VM standards and principles across the countries. 
  • Deliver Visual Merchandising presentation guidelines & state of the art digital training tools and partners closely with Communication teams on delivering to and getting feedback from the market. 
  • Deliver innovation through modern ways of VM including case studies, concepting phase, application, and strong collaboration with markets on execution. 
  • Form and maintain strong long-term partnerships with all divisions and omni-channel management team in regards to seasonal concepts, design, collections, and merchandising planning. 
  • Lead, manage and reflect in the designs and executions the functional and commercial needs of the business from display and in-store experience over costs, budgets and timelines. 
  • Strong partnership with the VM Communications Team to deliver seasonal kick-offs, events, and market initiatves and leverage best practices, efficiencies on ways of working across team. 

     

 The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Minimum 10-12 years experience as a Director, Senior Manager,  or similar role 
  • A bachelor/ master’s degree in Fashion/Fine Arts/Retail Management or equivalent experience in design/digital communications/operations/fashion or retail management. 
  • Strong experience in developing and executing VM Concepts, Display, and window creative  
  • Strong balance of creative and commercial skills with a work history to support this focus 
  • Creative management experience and track record of successful leadership  
  • Strong organizational skills, ability of maintaining tight calendar and process management multiple priorities. 
  • Able to manage creative & development processes while utilizing good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to interact with different global markets in a positive and constructive manner, change advocate  
  • Commercial mentality, awareness of the financial and resource impact of decisions  
  • Strong international experience, vendor relations, and production expertise 
  • Broad experience in fashion retail and wholesale environment; 
  • Affinity with the Brand; high taste level and obsession for high-quality execution and materials 
  • Excellent command of the English language (written & spoken) 
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally with other departments including Global/Regional Marketing, Omnichannel management, Regional Teams, and Country teams
  • Strong commercial and creative skills 
  • Brand minded, ambassador of CK
  • Strong and inspirational leadership capabilities; coach, delegate and follow-up with a good sense of people judgment 
  • Strong communication and influencing and motivational skills 
  • Change agent; 
  • Effective problem solving skills; Experience in developing and implementing innovative solutions

  • Good knowledge of MS office and Adobe programs
