HR Advisor, Northern Europe
Overview and purpose of role:
As HR Advisor you will play an integral role in driving the HR agenda and strategy for your zone. You will be responsible for supporting the HRD and wider HR team with the day to day smooth operation of the HR function. You will support Retail but also as required, with the Head Office function for Northern Europe based in London. As a key part of the Global HR team, you will liaise with other regions on sharing best practice and support or manage Global ad hoc projects.
You will have a full 360 generalist remit within the role of HR Advisor. You will provide effective and commercial business partner to employees and managers alike. Delivering excellent service to your client group, creating an approachable and supportive solution led environment and 'go to' department for all employees alike. You will have proven experience in supporting European locations remotely, including Employee Relations and Payroll.
You will be responsible for building strong relationships across the business, for each business entity and country. You will be a true brand ambassador and live the core values.
This is an exciting opportunity for a true generalist who can partner the business effectively and who wishes to work in a small team, whereby you can gain exposure to the full HR remit. The day to day is varied and dynamic. You need to be agile, adaptable, naturally inquisitive and a good problem solver to succeed in this role.
You will be a true team player, however, it is important you are able to work alone and come up with ideas and solutions directly. You will have the confidence to make decisions, yet have a willingness to debate and be challenged, consistently adapting and learning. You have a desire to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty and be involved in all areas of the business and within the HR sphere. You will work with integrity and trust and be a credible HR partner for the wider business.
You will help oversee the Payroll collation for the population, working alongside the wider HR team. You are organised, accurate and thorough in the work you deliver at all times.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
This is not an exhaustive list and may vary from time to time, as the role and business evolves.
· Employee Relations:
With a proven track record in handling numerous ER cases end to end including European experience, you will be responsible for taking a pragmatic, hands on approach to advise managers on any employee related matters. Ensuring best practice is maintained but with a commercial and strategic focus, providing guidance and coaching where necessary to upskill managers and to provide support to all parties as required.
You will keep abreast of all HR Legislation updates across the region and updating our policies and procedures accordingly.
Take part in note taking or chairing any employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances or performance management meetings as required.
Management of improving and enhancing the Probation process. Provide coaching for managers and employees alike for the entire performance management process from Probation. Oversee the tracking and administration of this process with the HR team.
Be familiar with and consistently seek to update and enhance all company policies and procedures in alignment to the relevant employment legislation, in order to offer accurate and reliable advise for any employment matter. Acting with integrity and trust at every opportunity.
Keep a log of all employee relations matters ensuring development of tools and templates in order to support the HR function and all employees. Look for solutions and effective outcomes when handling any case. You will have the ability to work alone on cases however you will escalate and update the HRD on any matters in order to keep them informed on employee relations matters as necessary.
Conduct Exit Interviews and track the feedback making recommendations to the HRD as necessary.
Support the Bi-Annual Performance Review Process in terms of communication and providing managers with support. Conduct analysis of results and provide recommendations to the business.
· Learning and Development
Take an active interest and role in a training needs analysis for your zone and identify solutions for any training needs identified.
Partner with the HR Team to roll out the L&D strategy ensuring that the training provided links to the overall HR objective aligned to the business strategy.
Update and conduct the Company Induction Program on a regular basis for all new starters.
Help build and facilitate in house training courses as required.
Effectively coordinate and manage any health and safety inductions and training for head office and the retail sites across all regions.
Ensure accurate training records for all head office trainings ranging from excel to health and safety or induction.
· Recruitment and Selection
As a true Brand Ambassador take pride in sourcing the right candidates for each profile of store or team within head office.
Be committed to developing a targeted recruitment campaign by role in order to ensure we recruit the right people within a timely manner.
Take ownership to develop management capability in recruitment and support all processes as required.
Partner with the business and the HRD to support with Succession Planning and Talent Development strategies.
Ensure all new starters are communicated with regularly to embed them into the business and culture and ensuring a smooth start to their journey with Louboutin.
· Payroll & Administration
Support with the collation of Payroll for your zones. Partner with the HR Team and Payroll provider to enhance the service and to ensure accuracy at all times. Take ownership for the tools used and make improvements as required.
Conduct Payroll Training for managers as required for your zones.
Work to ensure all HR Administration with the junior team, is accurate, promptly executed in alignment to our SLA and tracked/logged for compliance. In addition ensure that all new starters and leavers administration is processed in a timely manner.
Take ownership for internal audits each semester.
Management of the Probation Process assisting managers with advice on how to handle any complex matters and ensuring all reviews take place in a timely manner.
Ensure the update the HRIS on a daily basis to ensure 'gold' reliable data.
Support the HRD to conduct data audits and to support the budget planning process each semester.
Partner with the HRD to review all JDs and update and create as required alongside the business line managers.
Support line managers to create Induction templates and to work with them to ensure the new starters first few weeks runs smoothly and is effective.
Update organisational charts each month after Payroll accurately, across the EMEI region to share with the Managing Director monthly.
Partner with the HRD and wider HR Team to drive the culture in head office and with retail.
Assist the HRD to work on local and Global Projects such as building culture and values, compensation projects, salary benchmarking, organisational design, succession planning.
Own the statistical reporting for any Management Information and create a Dashboard to present the data.
