JOB PURPOSE

To work closely with the industrialisation and technical teams, throughout the ETE development process, to enable smooth running of the sample making process, ensuring all samples are made to the highest quality standard and delivered on time, whilst, also ensuring that all samples are accurately developed & Industrialised, and that all new ideas, methods and construction etc are fully tested, proven and & all details documented during the process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • New Product Development - work closely with technical & industrialisation teams to fully understand the design / development requirements, and ensure all required trials, tests, mocks etc. are completed in timely manner and meets the specified requirements by London Design / PE.
  • Daily / weekly sample priorities - work alongside the technical department to fully understand the ever-changing sample delivery dates & priorities, and communicate appropriately with other team members to ensure all samples are made and delivered on time.
  • Sample making process - support the SPT by coordinating all the correct documentation, materials & trims etc. required to begin the sample making process. Also, work closely with the production team leader to monitor all samples being made in the factory (when planned), to ensure correct methods and machinery specifications are being followed at all times.
  • Sample Feedback
  • Risk Process - attend Risk meetings and support the SPT on Risk process actioned required to mitigate the risk.
  • Pilot Process - support SPT on full pilot process, from classification through to successful competition in readiness for bulk production, tracking all feedback required by the technical department. Providing operator hands on training as and when required.
  • Day & Nightshift Support


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Hands on sewing experience is essential
  • Good knowledge & understanding of different fabrics & behaviours
  • Experience & knowledge of different sewing machines
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word,
  • Excellent level of communication / literacy and numeracy
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Highly Motivated
  • Able to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Friendly & approachable nature
  • Proactive approach to tasks
  • Solid manufacturing skills and knowledge is required
