About the role

As the Sr Manager, Business Continiuty Planning (BCP) your focus will be on supporting and managing our process to which our company functions can continue in the event of a disaster. You will partner with leaders to educate on BCP programs and processes. You will help implement best practices so teams can be ready when an emergent situation occurs. You will be a vital contributor to identify and assess current programming and its effectiveness in addressing known risks, and resourcing to address gaps.You will need to be customer curious to create a system of prevention and recovery from potential threats to a company. You'll need to understand the big picture strategy and work with cross-functional teams and external partners.

What you'll do


  • Manage, implement, and collaborate on an ongoing business continuity training program for exercising and training internal and external stakeholders on BC plans and practices


  • Refine and improve the current BIA template to respond to evolving needs of business resiliency Works closely with business units on their BIA's in progress and updates


  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans in an organized, auditable manner Such plans must address short- and mid-term operational workarounds, physical displacement, and recovery resource needs


  • Provide in-depth BC training and guidance to business team leaders and their teams


  • Build cross-functional partnerships and consensus


  • Influence strategy for area/team



Who you are


  • Previous business continuity planning or related experience


  • Cross-functional project management experience


  • External and internal training and communication


  • Participation in cross-functional groups and projects


  • Experience with recovery tests and tabletop exercises


  • Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions


  • Sound knowledge of concepts and procedures specific to own subject area and a basic understanding of the procedures in other relevant areas
