POSITION OVERVIEW

The Tory Burch Foundation is looking for a skilled content creator and writer versed in editorial strategy, brand building and communications. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of entrepreneurial-focused content to the Tory Burch Foundation's online and social media community. Additionally, you will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Digital to shape public communications, and event content related to our mission and purpose.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create compelling content:
  • Strategize, shape and execute editorial and content strategy for ToryBurchFoundation.org
  • Write, edit and publish all articles and online tools for ToryBurchFoundation.org
  • Interview entrepreneurs and business leaders to create original content for site and social
  • Oversee social media content strategy and write captions for all social media content
  • Craft email marketing messages, copy decks and produce monthly newsletter programming
  • Develop programming for virtual events and small business webinar series, including outlines for live talks, conversations, audience questions and event related communications
  • Ensure all web content is easy to find, read and is effective in its message
  • Aid with stage programming and content for live events
  • Develop innovative content for new media platforms to spread awareness and drive engagement with wider audience

Spread the word about our impact:
  • Work with Director of Marketing and Digital, in-house PR team and outside agencies to shape press strategy for the Foundation
  • Write, edit and prepare press releases and media pitches for distribution
  • Collaborate on writing and crafting communications for articles, Op-Eds and other interview related materials

Advise on creative communications:
  • Work closely with small team of freelancer graphic designers to ensure visual content is meeting the needs of the brand voice and messaging objectives
  • Co-produce relevant video content, livestream and video related communications
  • Monitor brand tone and message across all digital channels


Support Foundation team and leadership with communications:
  • Edit messaging for all public facing communications from Foundation team including but not limited to campaign and program emails, applications for various programs, and general messaging
  • Shape talking points and executive communications for events, presentations and more
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure all projects are executed with excellence and in timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned by manager


Qualifications:
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal/communication skills and managerial level of strategic thinking
  • Senior experience in marketing communications, campaign development and execution
  • Detail oriented and sharp editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and move projects forward under tight deadlines
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment and are open to change
  • Passion and knowledge of women's empowerment landscape
  • Clear focus on delivering results
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Proficient in communication and message for social media platforms: Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Experience with WordPress or comparable CMS system a plus
