Over the past decade, founder Ben Clymer and team have grown HODINKEE into a robust media and retail platform by providing its respected point of view on industry news and releases, investing in engaging and creative storytelling, producing a designated podcast, printing a bi-annual publication and launching and growing its own retail outlet, HODINKEE Shop. At its core, HODINKEE’s goal is to bring its readers and consumers the best in wristwatches in a way that is approachable, authentic, and honest.

What You Will Do

HODINKEE is looking for a full time Director of HODINKEE Insurance, taking the innovative new product offering to the next level. HODINKEE Insurance was launched in September of 2020 in partnership with Chubb, after two years of development, as the easiest way to insurance a watch. The process is as simple as answering a few easy questions to get a quote and insure immediately.

The Director of HODINKEE Insurance will be responsible for:

  • Develop growth plan/roadmap for HODINKEE Insurance.
  • Work in partnership with Marketing and Creative team to promote the HODINKEE Insurance business.
  • Work in partnership with product development team on customer experience and digital journey.
  • Lead the day-to-day relationship with our partners at Chubb.
  • Oversee customer experience.
  • Develop partnerships that bring HODINKEE Insurance to the broader watch community.

Who You Are

At a minimum, candidates should have at least 7-10 years of experience and the following skills:

  • Experience developing new business lines with tech-driven solutions.
  • Understanding of digital product design and ability to communicate with product teams on insurance roadmap.
  • Experience working in insurance field a plus.
  • Ability to lead a small team and work across various departments. 
  • An interest in watch collecting culture and/or other luxury goods.
  • Candidates must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
