Our Los Angeles office is found in the centre of downtown LA. Our office is in one of the city's tallest buildings with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the mountains and the Hollywood sign. Inside, the office is full of plants and beautiful furniture, with amenities and work areas that allow Farfetchers to design their day to be the best it can be. Some of the main teams located here include Operations, Customer Service and Production.


In this generalist role, you'll create an excellent experience for our LA-based Farfetchers at all stages of the employee journey. While advocating for our values, you'll have an 'amaze customer' approach and will provide timely and credible advice and counsel. You will work across specific client groups, working with the People Partners to support the People Team agenda. You will also contribute to and lead on local projects which help us to create a culture where our people excel.


    • You will support the People Partners to promote strategic people plans, activities and cyclical processes across the employee journey e.g. talent mapping, development programs, team structure reviews, compensation and performance review processes, employee engagement action planning
    • You will provide advice on employee relations, People policies, procedures and legislation following our values
    • You will play an important role in the joiner, mover, leaver process, ensuring an excellent onboarding experience, delivering engaging new joiner inductions sessions and providing a seamless integration into the business.
    • You will conduct exit interviews and work with People Coordinators to provide a smooth offboarding experience, aiming to understand the reasons behind attrition to improve employee retention
    • You will collect and analyze data to provide insights to your People Partner, Head of People Partnering and team members, so we can continue to improve our People experiences, employee happiness and retention (e.g. analyze leaver trends).
    • You will support larger scale projects and lead on small-medium, medium impact projects within the People Team and business.
    • You will keep up-to-date with employment legislation changes and industry trends in the HR world, to bring new ideas to the team.


    • You have 4+ years of generalist HR experience
    • You have knowledge of California employment law and practices, have managed varied and complex casework and can discreetly deal with varied and sensitive situations
    • You enjoy working with people and building relationships at all levels and across departments
    • You can coach managers to engage and motivate their teams, deploying an empathetic approach, always living by our 'Be Human' value of authenticity, respect and doing the right thing
    • You have a service-driven attitude, with a focus on the employee experience and continuous improvement approach
    • You are meticulous and detail oriented, advocating for data protection
    • You have experience in HR data processes. A full working knowledge of Workday would be an advantage
