We are currently offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious person to join the busy studio at ERDEM supporting the Design team as an Assistant Designer (Print and Embroidery). You will gain valuable experience at ERDEM while supporting the Print and Embroidery teams.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, organised, looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced creative environment and has a good understanding of the brand’s aesthetic.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General assistance in everyday design work, organising studio files and documents, creating and maintaining boards across all Design departments
  • CAD mock-ups and colourways, print and embroidery
  • Assisting with documenting design process and timeline to communicate new developments to other departments
  • Print research and development including artwork cleaning and building final repeat artworks for sampling and production
  • Assisting with embroidery artworking including printing out final artworks and aligning patterns for both sampling and production, using colour keys to annotate embroidery/ accessories artworks.
  • Developing fabric swatches and embroidery samples
  • Assisting with Embroidery Production
  • Assisting with seasonal design studio archiving

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Advanced user of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Microsoft Office suite
  • Hands on can-do attitude with an exceptional work ethic
  • Prepared to complete a variety of tasks
  • Ability to think on their feet with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized, able to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong hand drawing and painting skills
  • A team player
  • Strong interest in fashion and awareness of trends
  • Good time management skills and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Requirements:

  • Graduated from a Fashion/Texiles Design BA course
