JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Learning and Development, will design and develop comprehensive programs for learning, training, and development in support of retail teams including product knowledge, product fundamentals, sales and service, soft skills development, etc. Learning materials produced will be in a in a variety of formats, including: PowerPoint decks, facilitator guides, workbooks, activities, role plays, eLearning modules, video, Instructor Led Training sessions, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, develop, deliver, maintain, and update learning, training and development materials, consulting with subject matter experts (SME) on a regular basis to ensure information accuracy.
  • Gather, research, and report on seasonal and evergreen product information for product training modules and programs; helping to refine and streamline processes where necessary.
  • Liaise with global and domestic retail and corporate training partners to ensure that needs are being met and that we're sharing information and best practices.
  • Assist with learning and development operations as needed including Learning Management System and learning technology administration, reporting, translations, and communications.
  • Support ad-hoc learning, training, and development projects as needed.


CORE SKILLS
  • 5-8 years of strong corporate learning, training, development, and instructional design experience ideally within fashion, luxury or retail industries.
  • Must be proficient in:
    • eLearning content authoring tools including Articulate and Captivate;
    • Video and audio editing software;
    • MS Office tools such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and training design models as it applies to corporate learning.
  • Detail oriented,a sharp eye for quality and accuracy in work output.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to partner across teams both with HQ and field training partners.
  • Ability to work independently on various projects simultaneously with aggressive timelines.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proactive, takes initiative to find the best solution to ever-evolving training needs.
  • Agile, able to work across a diverse array of systems to coalesce the information most relevant to the retail audience.
  • Bachelor's degree in organizational behavior, HR, business, instructional design, adult learning, or equivalent work experience
