Overview:

Reporting to the Social Media Manager and Brand Copywriting Manager, the Social Media and Content Assistant will play an important role supporting the social team across all Global platforms within Stella McCartney. This person will be integral to ensuring the execution and publishing of all assets and written content across our global and regional channels, from copy on Stella’s World through community management. The successful candidate will need to not only be a forward-thinking strategist and writer tapped into digital culture, but also have strong personal and progressive values aligned with our sustainable luxury fashion ethos

Your Mission

    • Day-to-day general social media practices working closely with the Social Media Manager, ensuring smooth implementation and maintenance of our social media marketing strategy in line with PR and Marketing campaigns across all categories (ready to wear, Stella Kids, Adidas, Eyewear, Swim & Lingerie)
    • Calendar management of global social media platform – under the direction of the Social Media Manager, updating weekly social calendar ensuring harmony of storytelling across ready to wear, Stella Kids and licensing (Adidas, Eyewear, Swim & Lingerie)
    • Posting of content across all Stella McCartney social media platforms
    • Compiling of social roll-out plan for sign off from Senior Stakeholders on a weekly basis
    • Sharing of global social media calendar/activations with local regional teams
    • Supporting the Brand Copywriting Manager by writing, adapting and/or editing copy for social media and other digital channels such as newsletters, Stella’s World and website copy
    • Work with ecommerce team to improve efficacy of newsletter and homepage copy, reviewing reports and conducting A/B testing
    • Join Brand Copywriting Manager in discovering and developing campaign narratives
    • Adapt Brand Copywriting Manager’s copy across platforms and act as a guardian of Stella’s tone of voice
    • Working closely with our Chinese and Japanese teams supporting social strategy for local channels (Weibo/We-chat/Line), ensuring alignment of social storytelling
    • Overseeing day-to-day community management of social platforms (particularly IG), optimising interactions with communities through project strategies to improve overall engagement
    • Helping to manage customer queries across all social channels, working closely with our customer care team, to respond and action resolutions quickly
    • Regular catch ups with relevant marketing, PR and creative image department team members to ensure all content needs are met on global social channels
    • Assist briefing stories, assets and any ad-hoc requests to our creative team
    • Collaborating closely with creative teams to ensure brand content is optimised for platforms and adhering to best practice
    • Share content performance learnings with to Creative Image Department and devise strategies to increase reach and engagement
    • Helping to identify social creators for potential social content ideas, based on the brand aesthetic and values
    • Analysing and reporting of content on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as well as campaign specific projects
    • Help in compiling regular competitive analysis/innovation/platform updates
    • Develop insights and learnings from social performance with an understanding how to put forward and support insights using the right social data
    • Insights: keeping on top of current trends in social media and innovations in Digital Marketing, sharing your updates and personal thoughts with the team
    • Influencer: working closely with the PR and Influencer teams to ensure content has been delivered and activations have been rolled out across social


Your Talent

    • Experience in social media and content creation roles
    • A strong interest and passion for social media and editorial, and a detailed understanding of digital media landscape
    • A detailed understanding of all Western social media platforms, including Tik Tok & Clubhouse – with an understanding of Asian social networks being a plus
    • Experience in social reporting tool, confident in reporting and communicating social KPIs in order to adapt future social publishing behaviours
    • Knowledge of Adobe software (Photoshop / Premiere / In Design)
    • Copywriting / proofreading and excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to adapt writing to Stella McCartney’s tone of voice, speaking as the brand but with a journalistic level of quality
    • Excellent communication, organisational and timekeeping skills
    • Creative, innovative and willing to contribute ideas
    • Deep understanding of the importance of maintaining consistent messaging and tone of voice
    • Strong understanding of the Stella McCartney core brand values (i.e. Sustainability)
    • A passionate and positive person with a strong work ethic – someone who takes initiative and can work without supervision
    • A personal interest in sustainability is a plus
