FINANCE

We're a global team with a presence in all of our locations around the world. Our biggest teams are based in the UK and Portugal. Our team in Porto focuses on financial reporting and operations, while the Group Finance team in London is made up of Corporate Development, Tax, Treasury and Commercial Finance. All of our teams play an instrumental role within the business, from developing best practice, delivering strategic projects and helping us to tell our story with data.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will guide the required process and policy amendments that are necessary for prompt, worldwide and smooth execution on the standards. You will have an important role for the accountancy of our company, working together with the team to achieve the goals for the monthly closing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare and record all necessary type of Intercompany journal entries for all entities in the group (both entities and cross-group), and supporting documentation.
• Guarantee that revaluation (FX) process in intercompany accounts is carried out
• Raise Intercompany invoices and cross-group posting
• Determine and support the teams in appropriate Intercompany accounting details (e.g. GL accounts, Dimensions, Transaction Type, Posting Profile, etc.),
• Perform preliminary and final Intercompany reconciliations for all locations (monthly)
• Resolve intercompany reconciling items within month-end reporting timelines
• Support month-end and year end close process, and provides data to Auditors
• Intercompany Policy maintenance
• Guarantees that controls are carried out, are working promptly and are sufficiently reviewed;

WHO YOU ARE

• A bachelor or master degree in accounting or economics;
• 3+ years experience in Intercompany Accounting and General Accounting and Reporting activities
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken is mandatory;
• Considerable knowledge of spreadsheet software and basic computer systems, Microsoft AX will be a plus.
